Sandton is a short run from the workshop in Fourways, and a good share of my trade work is here.
Most of what I do in Sandton falls into two camps.
The first is trade: subcontract structural steel on residential builds and renovations, columns, beams, base plates, lintels where a wall is coming out. There’s a lot of building and rebuilding in these suburbs, and the steel goes in early enough that the rest of the programme depends on it being right and on time.
The second is furniture and finishing work, usually through interior designers and homeowners mid-renovation: console and dining tables, table bases, stool frames in polished stainless, and hardwood tops to match.
Balustrades and handrails come up often here too, both for staircases inside and for terraces.
