Commercial storage racks and trolleys
Sheet-material racks and mobile trolleys built to fit a specific workshop and a specific stock size, on castors that can take a loaded frame.
Off-the-shelf racking is built for pallets. It’s rarely built for sheet material standing on edge, which is how most workshops actually store board.
These were made to the customer’s stock sizes and to the floor they had to fit into. The bays are divided so sheets stand separated instead of leaning into each other, and the uprights are tied top and bottom so a loaded rack doesn’t rack out of square.
The mobile version runs on braked swivel castors sized for the loaded weight
the usual failure on a shop-bought trolley is castors chosen for the empty one.
